Oscar Wilde (16 October 1854 – 30 November 1900) was an Irish poet and playwright. 

Dinah Craik (20 April 1826 – 12 October 1887) was an English novelist and poet.

John Ruskin (8 February 1819 – 20 January 1900) was an English writer, philosopher and art critic of the Victorian era.

Edith Nesbit (15 August 1858 – 4 May 1924) was an English author and poet.

Kenneth Grahame (8 March 1859 – 6 July 1932) was a British writer born in Edinburgh, Scotland. 

George MacDonald (10 December 1824 – 18 September 1905) was a Scottish author, poet and Christian minister.
